Distance Learning Support
All students enrolled in distance learning classes
or Internet based courses offered by Middle
Georgia College are provided with the same
library privileges as on-campus students. Our
primary distance learning site is located in Dublin, Ga.
The Dublin Center Library serves students enrolled
on that campus. These students have access to the
same services offered on the main campus
in Cochran. A brochure entitled " Library
Students for Off-Campus and Faculty " is
available at the service desks of Cochran and
Dublin Libraries. Among the services available
are:
1) Access to online catalog of Middle Georgia College
and to the University System Of Georgia Libraries.
2) Access to GALILEO databases
3) Internet access
4) Interlibrary loan
5) Courier Service and Fax Service
6) Reference Service
7) Bibliographic Instruction/Orientation
8) Media and Reserve Service
9) University System Joint Borrowers Card
(Soon to be replaced with a USG Card)
Professors teaching distance learning classes at
other sites make arrangements with the library to
be sure that their students will have the library
resources they need.
